Aspen Child Development Center is designed to meet the early education and childcare needs of every Lincoln family!  Unlike large, corporate chains, Aspen is a small, family-owned business that keeps the best interests of Lincoln families in mind.  We develop the curriculum for individual children, creating a true partnership between families and teachers.

Opportunities are created for children to participate in a wide range of experiences that follow our development philosophy. Activities and interactions emphasize the use of exploration, thinking, problem-solving and communication skills with direction and support from nurturing teachers. We build on the strengths of children as individuals and challenge them to LEARN, EXPLORE and GROW!

The goal of Aspen Child Development Center is to provide, under the guidance of professionally trained teachers, the opportunity to develop:

• Socially, through encouragement of cooperative play with other children
• Intellectually, through activities that stimulate thinking and problem-solving skills
• Emotionally, through recognition of a child’s own feelings as well as the feelings of others
• Physically, through healthy eating habits and both large and fine motor activities

CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is based on developmental appropriateness for all ages, fully incorporated into our all-day, year-round educational program. We structure our educational activities based on the Best Practices and Standards set by the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children,) the accrediting entity for early childhood education. Our innovative education program, from 6 weeks of age on up through preschool,  is designed specifically to ensure that children are set up for success in school!

DISCIPLINE

We know that “discipline” means “teaching.”  It’s our job to teach children self-control and self-responsibility, knowing that it takes TIME, LOVE, CONSISTENCY and REPETITION for all children to learn (and grown-ups too!)
